As a child when I first heard Elvis sing I thought to myself "That is an amazing voice, I wish I could sing like that." I set out to accomplish that even to the point of driving my family crazy. So my Elvis performances started in Junior High. While I enjoy all types of Elvis's music, having been a Senior Minister for 12 years, his gospel music will always be closest to my heart.
In 2002 I decided to take my Elvis performances to a more professional level undertaking opportunities to perform widely in the US, and Canada as a full time ETA. In Las Vegas I was privileged to perform with Elvis’ original back-up group "The Jordanaires". I find the most fulfilling performances are the charity events. Smiles mean more than money.
For me, authenticity in sound and physical appearance is utmost important. Elvis was much more than a leg shake and a hip thrust. He was able to pour his soul into what he sang, and that is my highest goal. The greatest tribute I could give "the King" is to leave audiences with that same feeling of personal connection and happiness. I would like them to leave knowing what an Elvis concert was really like.
