Come out & Cheer for your Champions !
10 very talented contest winners plus special guests from the Lady Luck Music and/or Collingwood stages are getting ready to make their way to Oshawa for Lady Luck Music’s “Peoples Choice Of Champs” Sunday afternoon, April 20, 2008.  

Our  “Special Edition Competition”  to benefit the Alzheimer Society Of Durham Region, will take place in the spacious main  showroom at the beautiful  Sikorski Hall, which is wheelchair accessible and located at 1550 Stevenson Rd. N., Oshawa, ON (N of Taunton between Thornton & Simcoe).  Doors will open at noon, the show will be from 1 - 5 PM.  Elvis memorabilia vendor "King's Collectibles" will be on hand with exciting "goodies" to buy (new items directly from their recent trip to Memphis) and there will be food available for purchase as well as a cash bar!  You’ll have a chance to win quality  Elvis door prizes and we’ll be having a  50/50 draw for those who feel lucky!  

Collingwood Preview?  Well that’s a “for sure”!  The stars of this show will certainly be attending Collingwood 2008 (better known by Elvis fans and the Lady Luck Music reviews as “Elvis summer camp”)  in one capacity or another and Festival manager Rosemarie O’Brien will be present with pamphlets and information,  to let all the fans know about the exciting program at this years event.

Of course, the pièce de résistance will be Elvis Entertainment at its best in a contest format, where you the audience, will have the opportunity to vote for your favourite among the favourites!  It’s going to be a bit nerve-racking deciding, maybe even some nail-biting going on, shucks, even the guest performers have been contest winners!  But one thing’s certain, we’ll have one heck of a fun time!

For over 25 years, the Alzheimer Society of Durham Region has been providing support and education programs for the more than 5,400 people living with Alzheimer disease and related dementia in their community and their caregivers. ASD depends on the generosity of the people in their community, as the demands for their programs are increasing. Donations made to the Society help them meet their demand, which in turn helps them to provide a broad range of services that help benefit national research initiatives into the cause and cure for Alzheimer Disease.

The fiery ETAs scheduled to perform are John Cigan (Pickering), Will Ganzon (Cambridge),  Elvis Gauthier (Montreal),  Bruce Herron (Guelph), Doug McKenzie (Stratford), Geph Mitchell (Guelph), David Muggeridge (Mt. Airey, NC) Paul Ross (TO), Adam Scott (Oakville) and Larry Tschekalin (Sudbury),   with special guests , Pete Paquette, Oshawa’s own 11 yr old Jackson Begley, Toronto’s own 11 yr old “Little Elvis” Steven Pelleriti and from Montreal, 14 yr old Matt Nardi .

The tickets are only $25 pp, with a portion of the proceeds being donated to the Alzheimer Society Of Durham Region.  We really hope you can come out and show your support not only to the ETAs performing, but to the worth while cause we are trying to raise funds for.
