In only one year, John managed to win eight contests from Brantford to Vegas with the Isle of Capri $50,000 1st prize being the icing on the cake! Trouble is with winning, you sometimes get more gigs and travelling than a person can handle. Add moving to a new house, getting your family settled in and no sleep, and you more often than not catch a flu bug before you do the zzzzzzs! Well, that's what happened to John just a day before this show. He could hardly lift a pinky, felt like a truck had hit him - but insisted on leaving a sick bed to come out and join his peers and the LLM crew! That's the mark of a pro! Johnny disappointed no one, smiling, singing and looking as sharp as ever. He never forgot to thank the Elvis fans for their support and on a lighter note he added - "making sure the ETAs had a place to sing"!
