Montrealer Elvis Gauthier joined us this year and the audience was thrilled he did! He seemed to have just as much fun meeting his peers from Ontario and the US, as he did with the fans who came to see him perform. Another of our boys who was hit with a miserable bronchitis and fever, Gauthier totally ignored feeling lousy and entertained the 'troops' with as much energy as he did 15 years ago when he was Lady Luck's (the band) home ETA, playing at large venues across the island of Montreal.
The crowd cheered and called his name, which of course warmed his heart (and it's a big heart folks) and that gesture encouraged him to give even more of himself on the stage! From the front of the room to the back, there was a 'whole lot o' shakin' goin' on', along with dancing in the aisles. The familiar audience truly enjoyed seeing him again, while the new friends got to experience the Gauthier style of entertainment and all showed their appreciation by rising to their feet and giving him a standing ovation for an excellent performance! It was like ol' home week El, thanks for the memories!
