A cavalcade of stars - 10 very talented ETAs are getting ready to make their way to Montreal for the 7th annual Performers Showcase September 28 & 29, 2007 - and Montreal Elvis fans are extremely excited to see them! We are pleased that the following ETAs (in alphabetical order) have accepted the invitation to our Showcase: Robert Baggio (Laval, QC),James Begley (Oshawa, ON), Mike Bravener (Fredricton, NB), Elvis Gauthier (Montreal, QC), Sammy J (Philadelphia PA), Bill McGrath (Schenectady, NY), Jacques Millette (St. Jean sur le Richelieu, QC), David Muggeridge (Mt Airy, NC),Joe Ramsey (Saratoga,NY) and Larry Tschekalin (Sudbury ON). Also, on his very first trip to Montreal, we are delighted welcome 9yr old Jackson Begley (ETA James Begley's son) to our stage in a special performance and we're sure he'll remind you of Elvis himself at that age!
The artists invited to perform all possesses a very special quality that will remind the audience of Elvis' Spirit - whether it be because of his look, voice, stage presence, humility or style. These ETAs pay tribute the best way they can and we know Montreal, as always, will sense these qualities and love the ETA for what he does, sincerely. We also
know Montreal, as always, will show their appreciation with the usual exuberant "Montreal thunderous applause". The audience will have the opportunity to see all ten performers on both nights, with five of them doing their main show on one night and the other five singing a few songs each after the main shows have taken place. It's two nights of non-stop Elvis fun! At the time of this announcement, some of the ETAs you have seen featured on the pages of LLM have already begun to compete in contests across the globe for this years 30th anniversary commemoration. One of these types of competitions is EPE's "Ultimate Elvis Competition",where the winners of these preliminaries get to vie for the title of "World's Best Elvis" in Memphis in August during "Elvis Week". We are really excited to announce that one of the ETAs appearing in our 2007 Showcase, won at the recent Windsor Jailhouse Rock Festival and will be on his way to Memphis! On behalf of his peers and all at LLM, we send congratulations out to David Muggeridge from Mt. Airy, North Carolina! And we would also like to wish all the ETAs in competition this year, the very best. We look forward to seeing the ETAS & the fans in Montreal in September!
