This month, I won't be writing a story, like I usually do. You all know about our good friend Ray Guillemette....I attended a benefit for Ray, on Saturday November 24, 2001, called "Christmas With The King" it was put on by the Elvis Entertainers Network, and all profits went to RAY! So, I've deicded to write up a review about the show, and put some pictures along with it! |

The show started at 7:00pm with Ronnie Craig singing "If Everyday Were Like Christmas" backed up by the wonderful Expense Account Showband. That got everyone in the spirit of the holidays! I don't remember the order of the entertainers, so I will just list their names for you to see who all was there to help out Ray and give everyone a wonderful show! They were: David Lee, Reggie Randolph, John Loos, Jesse Aron, William Stiles, Doug Church, Irv Cass, Ron Starr, Jerome Marion, Ed Parzygnat, Michael Kennedy, Matt King. Quentin Flagg & Joe Tirrito both had previous shows they had to be at, but both showed up after their own shows! Quentin had an hour and a half drive, but really wanted to be there! It was great to see he made it. |

Each guy sang 4 songs. 3 Regular Elvis songs, and 1 Christmas song. Ladies rushed to the stage with flowers, for scarves or just for a kiss. Everyone seemed to be so happy and enjoyed the show very much! |

Throughout the night, there were raffles. All items were really neat and all raffle money went directly to Ray also. When the time came for Ray to get on stage, everyone was on their feet, clapping, yelling, crying, all full of emotions. It was so wonderful to see him WALK up the steps and get out there on the stage! He talked a little bit about what had happened to him, everyone stayed standing the whole time. Then he sang a 50‘s song (which sorry I can't think of what it was for the life of me!). After that song he talked a little more and then mentioned all the wonderful "Memories" he has had while being an ETA and the many more he wants to have, and sang "Memories". Ray's last song, was "You'll Never Walk Alone" Ray has ALWAYS sung this song so well. Everyone stood up around the stage while he put his heart into the song. At one moment, he turned his head twords the band, and saw ALL the other ETAs standing there on stage behind him! What a surprise! Their support and love showed so well! They all wore their Santa hats and when Ray was done, they all clapped and he got hugs from some of them too! The last song of the night was sung by Ray, Doug Church and Ronnie Craig, while the other ETAs passed out Christmas Stuffed Animals to the crowd. The ETAs even passed out their Santa hats to people in the crowd. |

The whole evening was wonderful, everyone pulling together to get in the holiday spirit and to help out Ray at the same time was great! During the show, Kay Lipps from the Elvis FANtasy Fest in Portage Indiana, presented Ray with a big card that was signed by fans/friends at this year's fest. Ray's been in everyones thoughts for sure! |

To Ray: We're ALL glad to see you doing so well! It was GREAT to see you again, and even better to see you doing so well! I know you've had a long road to recovery, but you are a fighter and you're making it through and pushing on! That's great! Have a wonderful holiday! |
