Happy New Year friends of LLM!!!! I hope the new year brings you all many good things! =) I know I have tons of things to look forward to in the new year!! Not to mention I'll be 19 in two weeks....where do the years go???? I look forward to a new year of writing for you all. This month I'm going to tell you about Charles King.
I've known of Charles for sort of a long time, through ETA Yahoo groups online. I had never met him in person though, until Elvis Week 2001. I went to the show at the Overton Park Shell and seen Charles there. I knew who he was from pictures, and looked forward to hearing him sing. Charles came out and sang and he was great! The ladies were going wild!
After that night, I got to talk to him at the Images Of The King contest, and told him who I was, as he knew of me from the yahoo groups. We talked and of course got a picture taken of us!
A few weeks after Memphis, Charles was going to be driving through Indiana on his way to a show in OH. He hadn't yet met my mom and wanted to, so he decided to stop here in South Bend and visit with us. We met up where mom works and he had lunch, and we talked. Had a great conversation and lots of laughs. I know we sat there for a few hours!!
The following weekend I seen Charles again. This time it was at the Elvis Explosion contest in LaCrosse, WI. He was AWESOME. He was when I seen him in Memphis, but he was really into it in LaCrosse and did GREAT! It was great to see him again! A bunch of us went out to eat afterwards, and he helped to keep us all laughing yet again. =)
Charles is a great ETA, if you get a chance to see his show, do so!
