I met Mario in Memphis during Elvis Week 2000. Melody had told mom and I about him and we were anxious to meet him! Let me just say he is AWESOME. Mario is a great person, FANTASTIC entertainer, and not to mention very funny! He went to the premire of Almost Elvis that Quentin sang at and afterwards we all walked along Beale St. That was a lot of fun!! Later in the week, Mario, Quentin Flagg, Matt King and Leo Days did a show out on Beale Street and they were awesome. Mario I think surprised everyone for his first year in Memphis, and picked up TONS of new fans! I really enjoyed getting to know him. One thing that I will always remember is Mario picking up my Video Camera and taping me stuffing my mouth with food!!! We sat at his table at the Images Of Elvis Contest, and he was being funny. I will also always remember him saying "Maybe next year I will change my name to Quentin so you can follow me to shows too!" I just found out today that Mario will be retuning to Memphis this year, so I'm very excited about seeing him again!!! For those of you who are going to Memphis, if you see Mario, watch his performances! He is OUTSTANDING! =) One you won't want to miss!
