The Christmas season is soon upon us and I have had the pleasure of seeing Ryan Pelton perform his first Christmas show of the year here at Legends In Concert. Although I do get to see Ryan perform several times per week and am always in awe at what great talent he has I was extremely amazed at the kind of performance he gave at this particular show. Ryan first stepped onto the stage in the beautiful Cisco Kid jumpsuit which is my all time favorite and started singing Promised Land which he did with great energy. Then he continued on with Kentucky Rain, Burning Love, Teddy Bear (as he tossed cute little teddy bears into the audience of many screaming fans), Suspicious Minds, and ended that set with my favorite song "If I Can Dream"... which just brought tears to my eyes. Not one note was missed as he done this song with great emotion and feeling. His vocals and movements to that song was very much like Elvis. As you watch the screens on both sides of the stage showing Elvis and Ryan on a split screen you can see that Ryan has the moves down to a science. He later came out in the very nice 68' Comeback black leather which he did songs such as Santa Clause Is Back In Town and Blue Christmas as he passed out scarfs to the ladies in the audience. Always a favorite time of the evening for many. Ryan later returned for yet another set which was the 50's. He wore the white coat with the black pants and the black and white shoes looking very much like the younger years of Elvis. I have to say that Ryan can do all three eras of Elvis but the 50's set is truely his perfection! I have never seen any ETA do the 50's set like Ryan. It is amazing to watch his transformation with the moves just like the ones of Elvis himself. He has so much energy on that stage. It is unbelievable to see! Ryan later did yet another change into the white suit with the maroon tie looking very sleek and well put together.
Ryan Pelton - Legends In Concert - Myrtle Beach, SC - November 2005
The most handsome in that particular suit and did a beautiful version of Little Drummer Boy and Silent Night. Then for the ending he led the entire Legends cast in Joy To The World. What a wonderful show and what a wonderful job Ryan did. It is a great honor to have Ryan here. As the audience is on their feet giving Ryan a standing ovation I just have to laugh because Ryan is so humble and he just doesn't get what all the fuss is about. That to me makes him special. If you have never had the opportunity to see Ryan in his Christmas show I would urge you to come and see him because he is the best and you will leave his show in awe at what a wonderful and very talented entertainer that he is. He is a great person with a warm personality. He always takes the time after the shows to see and talk with anyone that wants an autograph and picture. I could never say enough nice things about Ryan because he is a wonderful person with a great talent and he pays a very excellent tribute to Elvis. The entire cast of Legends deserves a big pat on the back for putting on the best show in Myrtle Beach. A few of my favorites include Peter Phillips as Tim McGraw and Mark Hinds as Kenny Rogers which is just fabulous!! Just a wonderful group of entertainers and a wonderful show to start the Christmas season off. Ryan - you are the greatest and you are loved and admired by so many. Thank you for doing what you do and for being the sweet and loving person that you are. You are a blessing! I am so proud of you. Your hard work and dedication has certaintly paid off.. Keep shining like the star that you are! Tammie from Myrtle Beach, SC
