This group really out did themselves entertaining both crowds at the 6th annual Peoples Choice in Montreal and the fans who came out to support these ETAs showed their appreciation by having one of the happiest times ever - an outright blast! There was no lull in the action at either venue - it was a fantastic execution of talent that blew everyone away and gave the voters a very difficult time choosing the winners! There wasn't a spare second to think about anything other than who was next up on the stage and how much the audience was enjoying the action - In fact, time went by so quickly, everyone had a little extra energy left over to party with the ETAs at the "Elvis Hotel" bar 'till the wee hours! So on behalf of LLM, I would like to thank the ETAs for accepting our invitation, and thank the audience for being a part of Montreal's 6th annual Peoples Choice - we couldn't have done it without you!!
Big "thank-yous" also go to Heather and Gail and all the Divan Ladies of the Shriners, who did a remarkable job hosting the Friday night show - preparing delicious food, decorating the hall and ensuring the ETAs and guests felt welcome. Also, thanks go to the LaSalle Legion branch #212 and its staff (Lori B., Pam & Brian W., Dick  L. & so many more) for their hospitality and help in making certain Saturdays show ran smoothly, especially the gals who tended bar that night, Monique and Marion. Marion's husband Eddy also used to tend bar and actually, if any of you have been to a show we've had at the 212, you'll remember me saying that "Eddy makes the best 'Bloody Caesars' in town".....and he'd laugh, then later tell me what a pain I was and that he'd made all the 'Caesars' he was going to make for a year! Eddy wasn't on duty the night of this show folks. Sadly, he had been ailing since just before Christmas, was diagnosed with cancer and lost the battle on Feb 10 th. We're all gonna miss Eddy and on behalf of the LLM crew and the kind folks who had asked if I would represent them, I'd like to extend our deepest sympathies to Eddy’s wife Marion and their children. God bless.
Thanks again to the LLM crew - Doug McCready (photographer), Danny Parker (video), his wife Patsy who still loves to direct the camera (we love ya Patsy), Doug's wife Linda Ryan (ticket sales & seating plan) and our friend Anna (ticket sales & outlet), Rhonda Madson (trophies, food, general organization of all our special extras), Darryl Richards (ground transportation, lights and set-up)and Lori Willett (lights and our little "go-fer-gal" on Saturday). Enjoy the sights and sounds of our 6th annual Peoples Choice competition in Montreal friends and we all look forward to having some new friends join us at next years event! Elvisly yours, Joanna
