The sound was perfect, the band was great, and WOW the sound that came out of the Stamps was just unreal. We finished sound check and had to get dressed for the show. As I was doing my last minute things to my hair Ed came to my door and he called me his little buddy. He wanted to talk to me in his room and we talked and talked and talked. I didn’t think we were going to get the show started on time. The show was being started by MC Bill . As he called out The Stamps, they walked onto the stage and the crowd just loved them.
By this time I was a nervous wreck, then 2001 Theme was beginning and it was my time to give the crowd a show. The drums came down and went into CC Rider as I came on stage. It was going to be a great night I could tell. Everything was just perfect. I finally relaxed after Never Been To Spain.
We did song after song - they all were just great. The one that stood out was How Great Thou Art. They sounded like the record. I could tell everyone on stage was having a good time the whole show. It was just a night of many memories I will never forget.
The show ended and I went backstage to change, and Ed met me as I was coming out and said, Well, buddy, you made it.’ We laughed, and he said that was one of the better jobs he had seen paying Tribute to Elvis. I went out front and signed pictures, shirts, and made lots of new friends.
As I drove home, it was still like a dream. Weeks went by and it was still on my mind, every minute of it. I could tell you moment after moment. I was getting letters in the mail from people with nothing but positive words about the show two weeks later and some I wondered how they even got my address. All in all, it was by far a night I will never forget. Ed and I are putting another one together soon.
A special thanks goes out to Kurt and Carole with TCB Concert Productions, The Moody Blues Showband, backup vocalist Rhonda Ward, and The Stamps Quartet. These folks were the real deal on stage with me and they all carried me through.”

ETA Jason Sikes recently performed with Ed Enoch and the Stamps Quartet in Augusta, Georgia. In this report, with introduction by Linda Moore, Jason tells us about the impact this show had on him. Thanks, Jason.
Jason Sikes and the Stamps Quartet headlined “The Elvis Years” concert at the Imperial Theatre on October 22, 2005 in Augusta Georgia. It was a full house. Everyone was excited seeing the professional group leader “Ed Enoch and the Stamps Quartet” with an intimate performance of America’s most loved music. The first half of the show included The Stamps doing their Gospel Performance and singing Gospel songs from their newest CD. Jason's voice gave the performance the best we had heard here in South Carolina with the combined voices of the Stamps. It was a night we will all remember! Linda Moore
Jason reports:
“The week of the show I don't think I slept a bit I arrived at the Theatre that morning and we started setting the sound up so we could all go and have lunch together. I went to get the Stamps from their room and we headed to Red Lobster. The lunch went great. It was story after story with Ed and his days with Elvis. I could have stayed all day but we had to get back and get our sound check done.
