We’re extending a “huge” thank you to Joan Minnery of Memphis Motion! Joan is the director of the Brantford “KingFling” festival (celebrating it’s 7th year this August 24 - 27) which is held at the Sanderson Center each year and each year to date, she some how manages to generously send proceeds to her passionate cause - the MacDonald School For The Blind. Kudos to the public who help support Joan in her endeavors to help others! Knowing the Sanderson Theatre inside out helps a lot when it comes to setting the stage and decorating the lobby and Joan and her crew did one heck of a job making the entire theatre look beautiful! Memphis Motion’s Rose Cronn, Adele Dewling & Alicia Skoretz - you were fantastic, as usual! And by the way folks, MM joins me and the LLM crew in wishing Joan a very happy birthday on February 8th. The public is able to enjoy many of Memphis Motion’s performances all year long, not solely during Festival time, ‘cause there’s never a quiet moment when MM puts on the “Memphis Heat”! - All the best Joan!
Rudy & The Angels Band, under the direction of drummer Rudy Salerno, did another fantastic job backing the artists again this year. This very talented, tight knit quartet absolutely shines behind the performers! Rudy kicked out that “Elvisy” beat in just the right places, Lenny Feldman was stupendous on keyboards, Brian Wilson (not of Beach Boy fame) a whiz on lead guitar and Gene Falbo kept it smoothly together on bass. Thanks boys we look forward to working with you again and fans - keep a close eye on the ETA circuit, as the Rudy & The Angels are in popular demand - playing at a venue near you!
To the crew and stage hands of the Sanderson Center, Memphis Motion and Rudy & The Angels, your professionalism and talent were appreciated and enjoyed by all!
