The 2004/2005 contest scene sent him home with 1st place awards from Collingwood, Brantford & Lake George, along with 1st runner up in Memphis. January 2005 started off fantastically as he was invited to perform in the Brantford Birthday Bash, then in March LLM introduced him to his very first Nashville stage, so it seemed only natural that our Canadian Champ Pete Paquette would be the one to return for our 2nd annual celebration. The audience couldn't have agreed more! Opening the show with his exciting, energizing tribute to the young Elvis, it was obvious that Pete was as happy as could be entertaining the Sanderson Centre crowd! He was in top form, relaxed, full of confidence and more mature, which allowed him to execute a truly vibrant set. Pete's authentic 50's moves and pitch perfect vocals only added to the passion for Elvis that he projected from the stage - and he had the audience cheering before he'd even completed his first song! Pete sang a beautiful mix of classic 50's tunes not too often heard, which was refreshing and appreciated. When he returned to perform with Rick and Jesse in a tribute to the movie years, Pete won the crowd's heart once more and received a standing ovation. Brantford's Canadian sweetheart Pete Paquette did a spectacular job, he'll certainly be remembered!
