“Follow That Dream”

He began entertaining the girls in the elementary school playground, singing his Elvis impersonations. By his high school years, he was hired to do the entertainment at the dances! Joe always loved to sing, covering tunes of then popular Johnny Ray, as well as other singers and his renditions bore a strong likeness to each artist he emulated. None as close, though, to that of his idol, Elvis. Joe played for close friends at parties, then did some performing at bars in his home town of Jacksonville Florida. After college, he began a broadcasting career as a disc-jockey for a local radio station. Doin’ things by the book, Joe got married, had a family, quit radio, and went to work as a TV engineer which lasted for 22 years. Joe now has his own software company, and thoroughly enjoys being his own boss for the last 11 years. He never gave up on the dream of becoming a full fledged tribute artists and after 44 years of practice, he feels he’s finally to hit the big time. Joe’s bought himself a leather suit and he’s ready to rock & roll whenever opportunity comes knockin’. Go for it Bobby Joe!
