He’s been imitating his idol since the age of eleven, practicing gestures and video taping his motions and voice, checking them over and over until he got it down pat. From 1988 through 1992, he had entered and won several contests in the Quebec region, developing a large following. In 1998, he met up with three musicians, one who happened to be the cousin of his future manager, Caroline St. Onges. He took his band around the various towns, doing small shows to the delight of audiences. When Caroline got wind of him, she went to see his show and knew she had found that special guy! She immediately put together an Elvis Tribute show at a large venue in Montreal in in September ‘99. Luc Bouffard was a success! From that moment on, he has done many shows in the Quebec region, and is invited to perform at each “Legend Of Elvis” show in a regular spot January and August in Boucherville. In 1999, Luc recorded his first CD which was a success - and he attended several Elvis conventions, letting himself become familiar with tribute artist fans. For the past two years, he performs at corporate functions, holiday parties, weddings, festivals and several theatre shows, along with his band (6-10 people) at both large and small venues. For 2001, Luc’s team is putting together a new Interactive Tribute Show and is presently recording a second CD and plans to go to Collingwood 2001 .
