You may have heard this story before, but this time it’s coming from South Wales. An Elvis fan since the age of five so fascinated by his idol, that he decided to visit everywhere to do with Elvis in the US for six months, enjoying the sights of Memphis, Sun Studios, Humes High School etc.. Although he actually bought an “Aloha” suit, custom made by Janet Tegals from Pigeon Ford, Tennessee, he hasn’t worn it yet. Mark Slade has only just begun to travel the road of a tribute artist. He’s getting all the practice and encouragement he needs wailing Elvis tunes out at Karaoke bars in and around the South Wales area, to the delight of venue patrons. By day, Mark works for the ministry of transport, inspecting and testing heavy machinery, lending himself to the creation of his first web site, which is due to come out soon. He also dabbles in the recording end of the music scene and enjoys it almost as much as singing Elvis songs. Watch out for the wailin’ wonder from Wales! |
