No stranger to the music scene, she has been performing rock-a-billy since the early 70‘s, aspiring to go to Nashville with her band Amy Beth & the Country Wranglers. Being an Elvis fan, it’s not unsual to dream about Elvis, especially if you are a woman, but when you think the King has spoken to you with a message of becoming an ETA, it opens the door for much criticism. Pushing all that aside and forging ahead, Amy Beth wrote her own material and started her own record label called Peridot. “My Baby Thinks He’s Elvis” was the title cut from her new CD and it also included three Elvis songs, with slightly different arrangements. Amy Beth went on to win several awards, including the Best of 2000 Texas; the Reincarnated “Elvis” New Act of the Year and the 1996 Rising Star award from the Country Music association of America. Amy Beth has been inducted into the Rock-A-Billy Hall of Fame! |
