“Using The Skills”

Yes, he came out of ETA retirement to record a new CD entitled “Return Of The Dinosaur” - It includes six originals and some “E” tunes, of course. The tone of the performance mellower than the way he used to perform those many years ago, though still sung with respect for the King, the way he’s always done. Back in 6th grade, 56/57 school year, Larry won his first Elvis contest at the Franklin School sock hop. By 9th grade he’d formed his own band, singing Elvis and the Everly brother’s tunes. By 1980, he was a professional ETA, putting on elaborate stage productions. In ‘84 had his little son join him on the shows and in ‘94, they did their last ETA show together. The past several years have been spent promoting and managing his son’s career from his agency “King-of-the-Hill Productions” - that son is none other than Jamie Aaron Kelley - the “Essence Of Elvis“. Larry’s used his personal experience as an ETA to perfect his son’s show - complete with dancers, lighting and excitement! The featured special cut from this album is called ” Going Back To Graceland“ and was debuted in Memphis during Elvis Tribute Week at the save the Shell show. It was written from a fan’s perspective, which is original in itself! Though Larry did come out of retirement to record and perhaps do a few shows, his focus is still on his son’s career, so we’ve included Jamie’s home page link on this page.
