“Elvis Gold”

Loving Elvis music from a very young age, the first song he learned to sing was “Little Sister”, at eight years old. That was only the beginning for Wally, who formed his own band in his early teens and played all the dance halls in the Vancouver area. He realized during that time, that most of the requests he and his band would receive were for Elvis songs! After going to check out a local impersonator contest, Wally’s wheels began to spin and he was inspired to create his own “Tribute to Elvis” show. Rehearsals with his band “Burning Sensations” led them to perform at the 1999 Sunshine Coast Country Music Fest, where Wally, as “Elvis Gold” was very well received. That same year, on a long shot, he entered the Collingwood contest and placed among the top seven contestants in the professional category out of 88 entries from around the world. He continues to present his entertaining shows throughout Canada and the US.
