His Dad recorded him singing “Hound Dog” and playing a toy guitar on an 8 track at five years old. Johnny’s still singing today, but has a real guitar and can record on CD. But he was too busy being a normal teenager, to concentrate on paying tribute to his idol in a professional way. It wasn't until Johnny grew a bit older that he began to really appreciate the true meaning of Elvis’ music. He rented videos, read magazines, watched concerts and remarked the impact Elvis had on his mesmerized fans. He wanted desperately to become a part of the world that keeps Elvis’ memory alive! So he began performing at parties, family gatherings, weddings, dances and small bars. A few years ago, he entered a local impersonator contest and took 1st place. He also found the internet and a whole new world of tribute artists and fans, along with people who are willing to help him further his career and fulfill a dream of singing among the best! |
