“Keeping A Memory”

Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, David moved to Toyko at the age of five, but the family returns often to Hawaii, visiting friends like Mr. Bucher, who owns homes in Kauai Island And Kahala. That’s where David met Elvis in ’72. Being only 9 at the time, his recollection of the King was that of a very nice man, rather than a superstar. But by age 17, he realized how the world felt about Elvis and so David became an ETA. He performed on an amateur level throughout Hawaii and Japan and by 19, entered the Nashville Music Fest, winning 2nd prize for an original composition called “Lisa Marie” and the following year, 3rd prize for “Memories I Have Of You”. David has only performed a few times in a jumpsuit and never wore sunglasses on stage - He prefers to pay tribute in his own way and enjoys the guarded memory of his meeting Elvis way back then - Elvis the “nice man” and how lucky an experience to be able to share!
