Growing up in the west coast meant listening to a big variety of music and though Duane did as everyone else, his favorite music was that of Elvis’, of course. He started singing professionally in Seattle, where his band did many Elvis cover tunes. When he moved to Indiana, home to many great tribute artists, he was encouraged to impersonate Elvis in a church program which started the ball rolling for numerous jobs at fairs, wedding receptions and other special events, as a tribute artist. He recently entered his first contest in South Bend Indiana, where he placed as a finalist. Duane portrays three eras of Elvis, though his favorite seems to be the early years. He has recorded an audio and video tape and is in the process of recording his first CD. |
