“The Suzuki Method ”

Of course he started out in a Karaoke bar - He’s from Japan after all! The Japanese audiences loved his singing and amazed at how he could imitate the voice of Elvis - One evening a patron was so impressed, that he arranged for a trip to the US, where Yoshi landed an audition on the “Gong Show”, won 1st prize and launched his career as an ETA! As luck would have it, a producer caught Yoshi’s appearance on the TV show and gave him a spot on “Married With Children” - which spawned a role as an ETA in the movie “Honeymoon In Vegas” and another appearance on Jay Leno’s the “Tonight Show”. Was there a method to obtaining this recognition? Knowing he could imitate the speaking voice of Elvis, Yoshi submitted a tape to Larry Geller in LA (author of the book “If I Can Dream”) for the CD version of the book and Larry hired him on the spot, not knowing he was listening to the voice of a Japanese tourist! Yes, there is a method - it’s called confidence - with humility and respect for others. Yoshi has recorded an entire CD with the Jordanaires and relishes the experience of working with those who worked with his idol, Elvis. But most of all, Yoshi enjoys other ETA’s performances and is delighted when they bring their own magic to the spirit and the legacy of Elvis , sharing a united ETA respect for all!
